History of the Church
History of the Church is a Bible class series taught by Jim Hobbs at the Rutherford church of Christ. The class traces the church from the book of Acts through persecution and restoration, the Campbells, Scott and Stone, the missionary-society controversy and later digressions, David Lipscomb, Calvinism, Pentecostalism, and the age of radio and universities, through the 1920s to the 1950s—so that hearers may better understand how the Lord's church has walked through history and why sound doctrine and practice matter.
Serial catalog. All 19 lessons are listed. Audio is linked when the MP3 is on the host. The public RSS feed currently includes 19 episodes. Scripture timestamps come from the class transcript when a passage is actually cited — none are invented.
